Solid - Orange fusion

Once again, we see Kia offering a genuinely striking colour as standard-fit, and the Proceed’s more rakish lines (well, relative to the Ceed Sportswagon estate, with which it shares a chassis) genuinely suits this bright hue.

Premium paint - Blue Flame
£570
This is a cracking colour, and again is proof that the Proceed’s shape suits a strong, bright paint. It’s very close to BMW’s gorgeous Portimao Blue. Like Infra Red, it really shows off what looks like a Porsche Panamera tribute act around the Proceed’s rear three-quarters, and is arguably worth having for that alone.
Premium paint - Dark penta metal
£570
While this dark (very dark) metallic grey really suits the mechanically-related Ceed Sportswagon, here on the Proceed it’s arguably a little less successful, and washes out the Proceed’s more rakish body style. It’s a safe choice colour, but possibly just a little too much so.
Premium paint - Fusion white
£570
The Proceed’s sharply curved rear end, and the little fillet of chrome trim that appears at the base of the rear window, help it to avoid the ‘fridge with wheels’ look of some other estates when painted white. It helps that Fusion White Premoum has a fairly shiny, pearlescent look to it but it’s still not the most thrilling colour.
Premium paint - Infra Red
£570
This is much better, and the brightness of Infra Red really sets off the Proceed’s styling rather nicely. It especially accentuates the somewhat Porsche-esque styling around the back of the car, making the Proceed look almost like a mini-Panamera.
Premium paint - Phantom black
£570
As with white, Phantom Black just looks a bit predictable, and while you can style it up by going for a GT spec model, which comes with red pinstripe insets in the bodykit, it’s probably still slightly too plain a colour for a car as handsome as the Proceed.
